ABOUT X-LEAGUE 

Spring 2007 Age Groups

X-League shall use Age Divisions based on the 2006-2007 seasonal year.

UNDER 6 years of age  Born after 8-1-00

UNDER 7 years of age  Born after 8-1-99

UNDER 8 years of age  Born after 8-1-98

League Play

League play begins March 11, 2007 and continues through June 10, 2007.

Cost

The cost for X-League Spring Soccer 2007 is $560 per player. A $50 Deposit is due at the time of registration, with the balance of the Player Fee($510) due on or before February 15th, 2007.

Players

1. Each player is guaranteed to play one half of each game.

2. All players to receive:

     2 High quality Practice Shirts

     1 Professional Game Short

     1 Professional Game Jersey

     2 Pair of Socks

3. Each player to receive trophies at the end of league play.

4. Players are expected to attend all practices for their division.

5. Players are expected to come to practice ready to play, with appropriate clothing and footwear.

6. Players are required to wear their practice shirts to every practice.

7. Players are expected to have a positive attitude about practices, games and soccer.

8. Players that disrupt the harmony of any team will be removed from the team temporarily. If the disruptive behavior persists, players may be expelled from the league.  This league is designed for dedicated players.

Coaches

1. All coaches will be licensed professional coaches.

2. No coaches will have a child on the team which they coach.

3. Coaching will be positive, supportive and encouraging.

Teams

1. There will be a maximum of 9 players per team.

2. There will be a maximum of 8 teams per division.

Games

1. Each team will be scheduled to participate in one game per week.

2. In the event of rainouts or canceled games, some teams may play more than one game per weekend.

3. Games will be played on Sundays.

4.  Field Size: 60 yards x  40 yards

5. The game will be divided into two equal halves, with a half-time break of 5 minutes.

6. Under 6 teams will play 20 minute halves.

    Under 7 teams will play 25 minute halves.

    Under 8 teams will play 25 minute halves.

7. All competing teams, coaches and players, will occupy one side of the field.

    All spectators, parents and fans, will occupy the opposite side of the field.

Referees

1. Referees are hired and paid by the league. As such their performance will be viewed critically with regards to the needs and goals of this organization and it's players.

2. Incompetent referees will be dismissed.

3. The number one purpose of our referees is to maintain the safety of all players.
